Adelaide is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of South Australia, and is the fifth-largest city in Australia, with a population of more than 1.28 million.(wooooowwww, its almost like whole estonian poluation!) It is a coastal city situated on the eastern shores of Gulf St. Vincent, on the Adelaide Plains.

Named in honour of Queen Adelaide, the German-born consort of King William IV, the city was founded in 1836 as the planned capital for the only freely settled British province in Australia.

Oosterwolde is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Oldebroek, about 15 km southwest of Zwolle.
Oosterwolde was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was merged with Doornspijk.

Sovereign Hill is an Open air museum in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, that depicts Ballarat's first ten years after the discovery of gold there in 1851. It was officially opened on 29 November 1970.

Set in the Australian 1850s, the complex is located on a 25-hectare site that is linked to the richest alluvial gold rush in the world. The site comprises over 60 historically recreated buildings, with costumed volunteers, who are able to answer questions and will pose for photos. The recreation is completed with antiques, artwork, books and papers, machinery, livestock and animals, carriages and devices all appropriate to the era.

Barra's Lighthouse, Brazil

First fort built in the city, it had the function of hindering the enemies entrance in All Saints’ Bay. Initiated in 1582, it got the shape of an irregular polygon with ten sides, six salient and four re-entering angles; its current dimensions, however, just came about in the 17th century.

The first wooden lighthouse, which functioned with whale oil, was made in 1696 and it indicated the entrance of the bay, alerting to the dangers of the coral reef or sandbank of Santo Antônio – the current iron lighthouse, working with electricity, was built in 1836. In the fort, there are a restaurant, a bar and the Nautical Museum, with exhibitions of old maps, navigation equipment, models of vessels, artillery pieces and remains of shipwrecks that happened in Barra, mainly Galleon Sacramento’s.

Pantanal, Brazil

The Pantanal is a tropical wetland and the world's largest wetland of any kind. It lies mostly within the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul but extends into Mato Grosso as well as into portions of Bolivia and Paraguay, sprawling over an area estimated at between 140,000 square kilometers and 195,000 square kilometers. Various sub-regional ecosystems exist, each with distinct hydrological, geological and ecological characteristics; up to twelve of them have been defined.
80% of the Pantanal floodplains are submerged during the rainy seasons, nurturing an astonishing biologically diverse collection of aquatic plants and helping support a dense array of animal species. Though the Pantanal inevitably cuts a lower profile than the Amazon Rainforest to its north, its ecosystems are similarly precious.
The name "Pantanal" comes from the Portuguese word pântano, meaning wetland, bog, swamp or marsh.

The Bridge of the Americas is a road bridge in Panama, which spans the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. Completed in 1962, at a cost of US$20 million, it was the only non-swinging bridge connecting the north and south American land masses until the opening of the Centennial Bridge in 2004.

Kiel is the capital and most populous city of the northern German state Schleswig-Holstein, with a population of over 236,000.
Due to its geographic location in the north of Germany, the southeast of the Jutland peninsula, and the southwestern shore of the Baltic Sea, Kiel has become one of the main maritime centres of Germany. For instance, the city is known for a variety of international sailing events, including the annual Kiel Week, which is the biggest sailing event in the world. The Olympic sailing competitions of the 1936 and the 1972 Summer Olympics were held in Kiel.

Kiel has also been one of the traditional homes of the German Navy's Baltic fleet, and continues to be a major high-tech shipbuilding centre. Kiel is an important sea transport hub, due to its location at the Kiel Fjord and the busiest artificial waterway in the world, Kiel Canal. Moreover, today Kiel harbour is an important port of call for cruise ships touring the Baltic Sea.

Šventoji is a small resort town on the coast of the Baltic Sea in Lithuania. Administratively it is part of Palanga city. The town is located about 10 km north of Palanga and close to the border with Latvia. Further north of the town is Būtingė and its oil terminal. Šventoji River flows in to the sea at the town.

Šventoji is an important archaeological site as the first artifacts are dated about 3000 BC. A famous cane shaped as moose head was also found in the town. It is a former fishermen village now turned into a tourist town. The town always struggled to develop a port, which had to compete with nearby Klaipėda and Liepāja.

Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendour. The city was completely destroyed by the controversial Allied aerial bombing towards the end of World War II. The impact of the bombing and 40 years of urban development during the East German socialist era have considerably changed the face of the city.

Cumil is a bronze statue of a man playfully peeking out from under a manhole cover. This guy, residing in the Old Town, dates back only to 1997, but Bratislavians and tourists love him. Children like to abuse him by sitting on his head. Heated discussions have taken place as to what actually the man is up to - you'll have to decide whether he is simply resting, looking up women's skirts, just cleaned the sewer...hehe...watch out !

The Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw is the tallest building in Poland, the eighth tallest building in the European Union. From 1955 to 1957 it was the tallest building in Europe. It is now the 187th tallest building in the world.
Four 6.3-metre clock faces were added to the top of the building in 2000, making it briefly the tallest, and now the world's second-tallest, clock tower (after the NTT DoCoMo Yoyogi Building, ).
The terrace on the 30th floor, at 114 metres, is a well-known tourist attraction with a panoramic view of the city. An old joke held that the best views of Warsaw were available from the building: it was the only place in the city from where it could not be seen (a claim originally made by the French writer Guy de Maupassant about the Eiffel Tower).
The building currently serves as an exhibition centre and office complex. It is 231 metres (757 ft) tall which includes the height of the spire of 49 metres. There are 3288 rooms on 42 floors, , containing cinemas, theatres, museums, offices, bookshops, and a large conference hall for 3000 people. In fact, an accredited university, Collegium Civitas, makes its home on the 11th and 12th floors of the building.

Louny, Czech Republic

Louny is a town in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It is the "Pearl on the Ohře River". The town of Louny has a long history, and was first mentioned in the early part of the 12th Century. However, little remains from ancient times. The town was hit by a fire in 1517 which destroyed many of the buildings, leaving little more than a Gothic town gate and the church tower standing. Many of the town's older buildings were torn down in the 19th and 20th Century and as a result most of the architecture is from just after that time period. The main highlight of Louny is the late Gothic style Church of St Nicholas (Kostel sv Mikulase), built in the early 16th Century.

City Hall, Penang is recognised as national monument in Malaysia. It is a two-storey building situated at the Esplanade in the state of Penang and has a significant historical and architectural value. It is believed that the building was specifically built to house council/municipal offices in the early days. It currently houses the Penang Municipal Council Chambers and two departments – the Licensing and the Urban Services departments. Built in 1903 in the typical British Palladian architectural style, the building has been listed as a national monument since 1982 under the Antiquities Act 1976. The design of the City Hall building bears a resemblance to the nearby Town Hall, which features the balcony as a main element overlooking the Esplanade.

Polonnaruwa was the medieval capital of Sri Lanka between the 11th and 13th Centuries. Strategically, it commanded all the crossings over the Mahaweli River, Sri Lanka's longest, guarding the increasingly powerful southern province of Ruhuna. In 993 AD, the Cholas, invaders from southern India, looted and burnt Anuradhapura and used Polonnaruwa as their military base for 77 years, resulting in an interesting blend of south Indian Hindu culture and Sinhalese Buddhist art and architecture.

Near the Audience Hall (sometimes called the Council Chamber) is the unidentified structure of the Nissanga Malla, this is made of solid rock and probably held a wooden roof. The building has been held by 48 stone pillars laid in 4 rows. The throne is a massive lion carved in stone. “Throne of the King” is carved at the bottom of the lion figure.
This building has a high importance to the historians as all the pillars are carved with the person’s designation who would sit there.

Toruń is a city in northern Poland, on the Vistula River, with population over 205,934.
Listed on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 1997, Toruń has many monuments of architecture beginning from the Middle Ages, including 200 military structures. The city is famous for having preserved almost intact its medieval spatial layout and many Gothic buildings, all built from brick, including monumental churches, the Town Hall and many burgher houses. Toruń, unlike many other historic cities in Poland, avoided significant destruction during World War II. In particular, the Old Town was left intact, so all its important monuments of architecture are original, not reconstructions.

The Eiffel Tower is a 19th century iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris that has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. Doi Luang Chiang Dao is a limestone mountain in the Chiang Dao Wildlife Reserve area, Amphoe Chiang Dao. This cone-shaped mountain is 2,195 metres from sea level, which makes it the third highest mountain in Thailand after Doi Inthanon and Doi Pha Hom Pok. Narrow plains on top of the mountain overlook spectacular views that include a sea of fog on the Amphoe Chiang Dao side, Doi Sam Phi Nong, the Chiang Dao mountain range, and the far end of Doi Inthanon. The peak is cool and windy. It is full of rare highland flowers, birds, and butterflies.

Belfort is a town and commune of north-eastern France, préfecture (capital) of the Territoire de Belfort département in the Franche-Comté région. Population approximately 60,000 including suburbs.
It is located on the Savoureuse, on the strategically important natural route between the Rhine and the Rhône - the Belfort Gap or Burgundian Gate .
Belfort is the home of the Lion of Belfort (The colossal work is 22 meters long and 11 meters high and dominates the local landscap), a sculpture by Frédéric Bartholdi expressing people's resistance against the siege in the Franco-Prussian War (1870) — who shortly afterwards built the Statue of Liberty in New York.

Emperor Otto I, the first Holy Roman Emperor, lived during most of his reign in the town and was buried in the cathedral after his death. Magdeburg's version of German town law, known as Magdeburg rights, spread throughout Central and Eastern Europe. Shiva ( meaning "Auspicious one"), also known as Rudra (the "Feared One") or "'The Destroyer" is a major Hindu god and one aspect of Trimurti. In the Shaiva tradition of Hinduism, Shiva is seen as the Supreme God. In the Smarta tradition, he is one of the five primary forms of God.
Followers of Hinduism who focus their worship upon Shiva are called Shaivites or Shaivas (Sanskrit Śaiva). Shaivism, along with Vaiṣṇava traditions that focus on Vishnu and Śākta traditions that focus on the goddess Devi are three of the most influential denominations in Hinduism.
Shiva is usually worshipped in the form of Shiva linga. In images, he is generally represented as immersed in deep meditation or dancing the Tandava upon Maya, the demon of ignorance in his manifestation of Nataraja, the lord of the dance.
In some Hindu denominations, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva represent the three primary aspects of the divine, and are collectively known as the Trimurti. In this school of religious thought, Brahma is the Creator, Vishnu is the maintainer or preserver, and Shiva is the destroyer or transformer.

Meknes is a city in northern Morocco, located 130 kilometres (81 mi) from the capital Rabat and 60 kilometres (37 mi) from Fes. It is served by the A2 expressway between those two cities and by the corresponding railway. Meknes was the capital of Morocco under the reign of Moulay Ismail (1672–1727), before it was relocated to Marrakech. The population is 950,322 (2006 estimate). It is the capital of the Meknes-Tafilalet region. Meknes is named after a Berber tribe which was known as Miknasa in the medieval Arabic sources. Meknes the ismaili capital, founded in the 11th century.
Meknes is a vibrant, modern city bustling with nightlife, restaurants and an impressive royal palace. Since it's relatively ignored by most tourists, it's also free of the usual hassles (touts, faux guides, etc) that plague the other tourist centers.

Meknès was chosen as an UNESCO world legacy of civilization, for its medina and the ruins of the royal palace. A crowd of merchants, fire-eaters and acrobats gather together at dusk, in Place El-Hedime with its huge market. The city has an unforgettable and easy-going medieval ambience. In addition, Meknes has several palaces, spectacular mosques and madrassas behind its fortified walls that feature many grand entrances, and the world famous Bab Mansour.

Taipei 101, also known as the Taipei Financial Center, is a landmark skyscraper located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building became the world's tallest skyscraper upon its completion in 2004. as certified by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat[2].
The building received the 2004 Emporis Skyscraper Award and was hailed as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World and Seven Wonders of Engineering The tower is an icon of modern Taiwan. The bridge deck is unusual due to its form, which is similar to an "X", crossing at the tower.
It is the only bridge in the world that has two curved tracks supported by a single concrete mast.
At the end of December lights are put up on the cables and illuminated to create color effects like those on a Christmas tree. The bridge is also lit up on special occasions during the year and is often used for automobile advertisements on television.

The Chania Lighthouse is ideally located at the extreme end of the pier to the northwestern coast of Crete.
This magnificent lighthouse has undergone thorough renovation. It was first built by the Venetians and is conspicuous by its cylindrical shape. The present one owes its origins to the Egyptians who built upon the original base that the Venetians left behind. The lighthouse is made of stone blocks.
The exact date of its establishment is believed to be 1570. Although the lighthouse is no longer operational, it is still much preferred by the tourists who come to see this magnificent structure because of its historical importance. Only the grounds are open to the public. Entry inside the lighthouse is prohibited.
It took a number of years to renovate the lighthouse.
In fact the entire process of renovation was completed as recently as 2006. As of today, it looks as good as new. The lighthouse makes for an awesome sight especially when it is lit up at night. The spotlights start emitting light once darkness envelops the city of Chania and from a distance, it makes for a truly kaleidoscopic vignette.
Since the lighthouse was remodeled by the Egyptians during their occupation of the island from 1821 to 1841, it has a distinct Egyptian touch notably the minaret like shape and the elegant steps that lead to the balcony and the glass tower.

Opposite the Cathedral are the open gallery known as the Goldsmiths' Portico, built in the first decade of the 17th century, and the monumental fountain whose bronzes date to the same period.

Leonid Osipovich Utyosov (21 March 1895, Odessa – 9 March 1982, Moscow), was a famous Soviet jazz singer and comic actor of jewish origin, who became the first pop singer to be awarded the prestigious title of People's Artist of the USSR (1965).
His rendition of the popular song "Shalandy" (also known as "Boats full of mallet") by composer Nikita Bogoslovsky, was expremely popular in Russia, albeit the song was banned by the Soviet authorities. During the 1950s and 1960s, Utyosov was censored by the Soviet authorities, and his performances were limited. He lived in Moscow for the rest of his life, albeit in many of his songs Utyosov alluded to his native town of Odessa, where a monument to him was opened in 2000.

A major civic space, it lies between the city's main hotel district and retail area. Before recent transformations, the space was last re-planned in the early 1960s.
By the late 1990s, the whole area was suffering from a lack of investment. The sunken Victorian gardens which lay at its heart had become cut off from their surroundings by busy roads and tramways, had taken on a neglected atmosphere and had become a focus for a variety of anti-social behaviour. Then, in 1996 an IRA bomb blast destroyed a large section of Manchester's retail and office area to the north west of Piccadilly Gardens and following this, an international urban design competition was launched for the reconstruction of the whole city centre.
After almost two years in construction, the gardens were reopened in May 2002 in time for Manchester's hosting of the Commonwealth Games in July. EDAW's spectacular remodelling includes over a hundred semi-mature trees, a large lawned area, a fountain plaza traversed by a catwalk bridge.

Though the present Palace is little over a century old, there is clear evidence to show that there existed a royal structure even when the two Yadu dynasty princes, Yaduraya and Krishnaraya, came to Mysore in 1399 A.D.

Halebiduis located in Hassan District, Karnataka, India. Halebidu (which was previously called Dorasamudra or Dwarasamudra) was the regal capital of the Hoysala Empire in the 12th century. It is home to one of the best examples of Hoysala architecture in the ornate Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples.
It was built by Ketamalla a minister of Vishnuvardhana the Hoysala ruler who also built the Belur temple and the Mahabaleshwar temple at Chamundi Hills near Mysore. Halebidu was sacked by the armies of Malik Kafur in early fourteenth century, after which it fell into a state of disrepair and neglect.
The Hoysaleswara temple enshrines Hoysaleswara and Santaleswara. Hoysaleswara is named after the builder Vishnuvardhana Hoysala and Santaleswara after his wife, Queen Santala. The sancta are built on a stellar plan, with a sukhanasi, navaranga and Nandi Mandapa. Each of these (temples) resembles the Belur Chennakesava temple in plan.
The Hoysaleswara temple is a masterpiece, studded with a profusion of carvings. Thousands of figures appear on its walls. The basement of the temple has the most richly sculptured friezes. Horsemen charge, war elephants charge, all in stone. Scenes from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata add to the grandeur.

Hagia Sophia is a former Orthodox patriarchal basilica, later a mosque, now a museum in Istanbul, Turkey. It was the largest cathedral in the world for nearly a thousand years.

Georgia - Mount Kazberg

Kazbek (5047 m ) is the third highest mountain in Georgia. According to legend, a Georgian hero Amirani (similar to the Greek Prometheus) was trapped to this mountain for giving people the fire despit a ban of the gods. Kazbek is a popular place for hiking and mountaineering.

Also it was the first card what i got from my friends and after it i started slowly but steadily to collect the cards from different countries.
