Rats from Finland

Kajaani is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Oulu and is part of the Kainuu region. The municipality has a population of 35,964 and covers an area of 1369.13 km² of which 212.04 km² is water.

Jungfruskär, Finland


Jungfruskär is situated in the Archipelago National Park, covering an area of 500 km2. The island is part of the municipality of Houtskär in the Turku region archipelago, bordering to Åland. The National Park is part of the biosphere area founded by UNESCO, and is not a traditional conservation are, rather its environment is unique due to the influence of human activity. The Archipelago National Park was founded in 1983. Since then, the nature of Jungfruskär has been protected and the overgrown meadows and pastures have been restored with the help of voluntary projects.

Finland



Finland situated in the Fennoscandian region of northern Europe. It is bordered by Sweden on the west, Russia on the east, and Norway on the north, while Estonia lies to its south across the Gulf of Finland. The capital city is Helsinki. Around 5.3 million people reside in Finland, with the majority concentrated in the southern part of the country. It is the eighth largest country in Europe in terms of area and the most sparsely populated country in the European Union.
