Lisboa is the capital of Portugal and the biggest city of Portugal.. It is considered an alpha global city and is the seat of the district of Lisbon and the main city of the Lisbon region. Its
municipality, which matches the city proper excluding the larger continuous conurbation, has a municipal population of 564,477. It is located in the west of the country, on the Atlantic Ocean coast at the point where the river Tagus flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The western side of the city is mainly occupied by the Monsanto Forest Park, one of the largest urban parks in Europe with an area close to 10 square kilometres (almost 4 sq mi).
São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil and the world's 7th largest metropolitan area. The city is the capital of the state of São Paulo, the most populous Brazilian state. It is also the richest city in Brazil. The name of the city honors Saint Paul. São Paulo exerts strong regional influence in commerce and finance as well as arts and entertainment. São Paulo is considered an Alpha World City.With an estimated population of 11,037,593 residents, São Paulo is the most populous city in the Southern hemisphere. A famous nickname for the city is "Sampa." São Paulo is also known for its unreliable weather, the size of its helicopter fleet, architecture, gastronomy, and multitude of skyscrapers.
The Chania Lighthouse is ideally located at the extreme end of the pier to the northwestern coast of Crete. 






Gomel also Homiel, is the administrative center of Homiel Voblast and the second-largest city in Belarus. It has a population of 479,935 (2006 estimate). Gomel is situated in the southeastern part of the country, on the right bank of Sozh river, close to the border with Ukraine. Although it has been heavily contaminated with radioactive debris following the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, residents were never evacuated from Gomel and general population continued to grow.

Jungfruskär is situated in the Archipelago National Park, covering an area of 500 km2. The island is part of the municipality of Houtskär in the Turku region archipelago, bordering to Åland. The National Park is part of the biosphere area founded by UNESCO, and is not a traditional conservation are, rather its environment is unique due to the influence of human activity. The Archipelago National Park was founded in 1983. Since then, the nature of Jungfruskär has been protected and the overgrown meadows and pastures have been restored with the help of voluntary projects.
A major civic space, it lies between the city's main hotel district and retail area. Before recent transformations, the space was last re-planned in the early 1960s.


Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah is an archipelago of 99 islands (an extra 5 temporary islands are revealed at low tide) in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. On July 15, 2008, Sultan Abdul Halim of Kedah had consented to the change of name to Langkawi Permata Kedah in conjunction with his Golden Jubilee Celebration. By far the largest of the islands is the eponymous Pulau Langkawi with a population of some 45,000, the only other inhabited island being nearby Pulau Tuba. Langkawi is also an administrative district with the town of Kuah as the capital and largest town. Langkawi is a duty-free island.
